Since I published the book "The Sacred Body" and the related online course, dedicated to women who want to embrace the "gifts" of the menstrual cycle and integrate the Elements and cycles of Nature into their lives, I have continued to hold a monthly zoom meeting open to women on this path. This year, to celebrate the Winter Solstice, I thought I would extend the invitation to everyone. I did so because Winter is a season that opens the door to deep healing, a "feminine" healing that I believe we need so much on our planet right now.
Winter speaks to us about looking at the essence and the essential, about taking a break from action to allow ourselves to listen, to reflect, to observe.
Nature teaches us that there is no Spring rebirth without Winter rest, and our lifestyle subjects us to constant stresses that are hardly compatible with the concept of rest. But our bodies are designed in such a way that they need adequate rest to make everything work from a point of view not only physical but also mental and emotional.
Indeed, the functions of our immune and endocrine systems also depend on our ability to recover and rest. Moreover, the ability to recover from the myriad of stresses and inputs we receive every day also affects our social relationships and interactions.
The balance between light and darkness has profound significance on a symbolic level and also on a psychophysiological level, which is why I thought I would invite you to the meeting on Zoom that I will hold on Monday, December 18 at noon, PST (meeting in English).
